FOOTBALL

Citing a desire to spend more time with his family and his full-time job, Jonathan Brillo stepped down as head football coach at BC High. He made the announcement to his team early this morning.

A 1999 graduate of BC High, Brillo returned to his alma mater in 2008 and served as an assistant coach for a decade, before taking over as head coach in 2018. This past season, the Eagles went 2-3 with both wins coming against Catholic Conference rival St. John’s Prep.

“This was not an easy decision, especially after 13 fantastic seasons at my alma mater – a place I consider my second home,” Brillo said. “I would first like to thank all the student-athletes I have had the privilege to coach. They are the reason I loved coaching so much and made coming to practice every day a pleasure.
