Etiwanda girls soccer Jason Montgomery believes his team is ready for the CIF Southern Section playoffs.

The Eagles went 10-0 in the extremely tough Baseline League to claim the program’s first league title in 19 years. Etiwanda was rewarded with the No. 1 seed in Division 2 when the playoff pairings were released Saturday morning. The Eagles (12-0 overall) will open up the postseason at home on Wednesday, May 12, against Thousand Oaks (6-6-1).

“The Baseline League is one of the strongest leagues from top to bottom, so I feel we are tried and tested,” said Montgomery, who is in his 20th season with the program. “We have tremendous depth, and I really have enjoyed the personality of this group. They work extremely hard and they love playing with one another and for one another.”
